Join Students for Nuclear Disarmament on Zoom on Saturday, August 10th, 2024 from 1pm - 2:30PM ET to discuss the intersection of the two greatest existential threats to humanity: climate change and nuclear weapons. We will first hear from Dr. Ira Helfand about what a nuclear war would actually look like and the growing risk of one occurring, then from Drs. Alan Robock and Lili Xia about the terrifying consequences of nuclear-induced climate change, and then work together to brainstorm ways to take action. High school, college, and graduate students are strongly encouraged to attend!
